We have been certified by the CU Environmental Center as a Green Office since 2011.

The Department of Communication advisors help admitted Comm students as they navigate the Communication major. They are not able to advise prospective students or transfer students who have not yet attended orientation. Whether you are considering Comm as a major, are already a Comm major, or have general or specific questions about a major in Comm, please contact an advisor.

Department of Communication advisors are Debbie O’Neill (debbie.oneill@colorado.edu) and Denée Janda (deja5170@colorado.edu).

Frequently Asked Questions

I am interested in going to law school. Is there an advisor to help?

Yes! The College of Arts & Sciences has a Pre-Law Advisor who can answer your questions about applying and attending law school. The AAC website also has information about events such as law school fairs and seminars. Make an appointment by logging in to the AAC website.

I’m ready to graduate! What do I do now?

You will need to file a Graduation Packet with the College of Arts & Sciences at the beginning of the semester preceding the one in which you intend to graduate. You will need to schedule an individual meeting with your advisor to complete these forms. CU Commencement information is available on the Commencement website.

How do I add/drop a class?

Information on adding and dropping classes and other registration issues is available from the Registrar’s website.

I have an advising emergency! What should I do?

If you have an urgent need, please email your advisor from your CU email account. Your advisor may be able to address your issue by phone, by email, or in-person.

Note: Students must use their CU email account (ending in @colorado.edu) for all communication with their advisor. Advisors will not respond to an email originating from a non-CU account.
