| Biography |
| Robert T. Craig, Professor, specializes in communication theory and philosophy, discourse analysis, argumentation, and group interaction, and is an affiliate faculty member of the Culture, Language, and Social Practice (CLASP) graduate certificate program. He joined our faculty in 1990 and was chair of the Department of Communication for 2001-2005. He is a fellow and past president of the International Communication Association and was founding editor of the ICA journal, Communication Theory. He currently serves as series editor of the ICA Handbook Series, and as an advisory editor for the International Encyclopedia of Communication. He has published numerous articles in academic journals and books. Theorizing Communication: Readings Across Traditions (with Heidi L. Muller) was published by Sage in 2007. Current projects include a book on communication theory, and critical studies of everyday metadiscourse about "communication."
