| Biography |
| John McClellan is a Ph.D. Candidate studying organizational communication and focusing on the processes and consequences of organizing with a special interest in collaboration and organizational change. He is also interested in organizing discourses and the relationship between organizational life and everyday experience. John is a former organizational change strategy consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM where he managed large-scale change programs for major telecommunications companies. His consulting experience introduced him to the complexities of organizational discourse and challenges of organizational change. As a graduate student, John is focused on the problems of organizational identity, decision-making, and collaborative change. His master’s thesis employed qualitative methods to explore the sense-making processes surrounding the announcement of significant organizational change at an international data services company. John has served as a Graduate Instructor for the Organizational Communication course and the upper division Communication, Technology and Society course as well as a Teaching Assistant for the introductory Group Interaction Skills course. |
